DevKit Privacy Policy

The short version
DevKit collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics and no servers. It makes no network requests at all. Everything you paste is processed on your device and stays there, unless you turn on iCloud sync, in which case it goes to your own private iCloud and nowhere else.
What DevKit does with what you paste
Text you type, paste or share into DevKit is processed on your device by the tool you chose, and the result is shown to you. It is not uploaded, logged or transmitted, because DevKit has no way to transmit it: the app makes no network connections, and on macOS it does not even hold the entitlement that would allow one.

You can turn off storing previews in Settings. With previews off, a run records only the tool, the time and a hash of the input, never the text itself.
You can remove everything at any time with Settings → Erase all data.
iCloud sync
If you have DevKit Pro and turn on iCloud sync, your favourites and your history previews are stored in your own private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit. Apple's terms govern that storage. We have no access to it and no server that could read it.
Drafts never sync, deliberately: something half-typed into a tool may be a private key or a production token, and it should not leave the device because iCloud happens to be on.
Turning sync off stops further syncing. Erasing your data removes the iCloud records too.
What DevKit never does
- No analytics, no telemetry, no usage statistics, no session recording
- No advertising, no advertising identifier, no tracking of any kind. DevKit does not use App Tracking Transparency because it has nothing to ask you about
- No third-party SDKs. DevKit has no third-party dependencies at all
- No crash-reporting service. Crash reports reach Apple only through Apple's own mechanism, if you have opted in to share them with developers
- No account, no email address, no sign-in
Permissions

DevKit asks for nothing else. It does not use your location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data or local network.
Purchases
DevKit Pro is sold through Apple. Purchases are handled entirely by the App Store; DevKit never sees your payment details or your Apple Account. The app reads only whether an entitlement is active, and that answer stays on your device.
Children
DevKit is rated 4+ and contains nothing objectionable, but it is a developer utility rather than a children's app. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Diagnostics
Settings offers "Export diagnostics", which copies a short report to your clipboard for a support email. It contains the app version, your OS version, your device model, your locale, whether sync is on, and how many history items you have. It contains no tool input, no results and no history content, and it is only ever sent if you paste it into an email yourself.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what DevKit does with your data, the app will say so before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
